What will my working week look like? This is a full-time role based on a 10 day working rota. Project Officers work 12.5 hour shifts in blocks of 4. Working with 2 days (07.45 to 20.15), then 2 waking nights (19.45 to 08.15) and then 6 days off - for example: Monday &amp; Tuesday 07.45 to 20.15; Wednesday &amp; Thursday 19.45 to 08.15; then off rota for 6 days back on shift following Thursday 07.45 to 20.15 What will I be responsible for doing? About the role The postholder will report to the Homelessness Response Manager. They will be responsible for carrying out formal reviews of homelessness decisions, decisions not to provide temporary accommodation, investigating service complaints, and developing policy initiatives related to the prevention of homelessness and the reduction in the use of temporary accommodation. You will be an integral part of the homelessness response team, consisting of approximately 20-25 staff members who manage the complete spectrum of housing options and homelessness services, including housing allocations and the commissioning of housing support. This is a high-achieving team with a relatively low number of households in temporary accommodation, which is a testament to their great work. The post holder primary workplace is the Civic Centre, Keynsham. However, alternative workplaces, including home based working, can also be used with the agreement of the manager. The Role We are looking to appoint a BSL (British Sign Language) Independent Living Support Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to help build our BSL ISL provision and provide excellent support. Due to the demands of the service, successful candidates must complete and pass British Sign Language Level 1. Training will be provided and consists of approximately three 10 week modules, 2 hours per week. The property is a 2 bedroom home located in a residential area in Newcastle, a short walk from the City Centre, St James Park, the Town Moore and Leazes Park as well as local transport services which opens up the whole of the North East to the people we support. There is also parking available. The role is to support 2 young gentlemen moving into their first home following completing College. The role will be to support both men to find new and exciting opportunities in and around their new home and to support them to grow relationships and connections, positively impacting their quality of life. You will be responsible for supporting with all aspects of daily living, including support at home, to go to different community places and support with personal care. One young person that you will be supporting will have seizure activity which is generally nocturnal. This person can also have escalated behaviours and self-injurious behaviours. The other young person has a dysphagia need with an IDDSI Level 6 soft and bite sized diet. The Foundation offers both mandatory and person specific training to support candidates to be able to meet these individuals needs and to support continuous development in career pathways. Requirements We are looking for candidates with an understanding of Positive behaviour Support and meeting complex needs of autistic people, who display behaviour that may challenge. Candidates must also have the drive to complete the BSL qualification whilst working for the Foundation to support positive communication and meet both individual's needs. The Role We are looking to appoint a qualified BSL (British Sign Language) Independent Living Support Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to help build our BSL ISL Provision and provide excellent support. Due to the demands of the service, we are looking for candidates who hold a BSL qualification. The property is a 2 bedroom home located in a residential area in Newcastle, a short walk from the City Centre, St James Park, the Town Moore and Leazes Park as well as local transport services which opens up the whole of the North East to the people we support. There is also parking available. The role is to support 2 young gentlemen moving into their first home following completing College. The role will be to support both men to find new and exciting opportunities in and around their new home and to support them to grow relationships and connections, positively impacting their quality of life. You will be responsible for supporting with all aspects of daily living, including support at home, to go to different community places and support with personal care. One young person that you will be supporting will have seizure activity which is generally nocturnal. This person can also have escalated behaviours and self-injurious behaviours. The other young person has a dysphagia need with an IDDSI Level 6 soft and bite sized diet. The Foundation offers both mandatory and person specific training to support candidates to be able to meet these individuals needs and to support continuous development in career pathways. Requirements Candidates must hold a Level 1 (or above) British Sign Language qualification. An understanding of Positive behaviour Support and meeting complex needs of autistic people, who display behaviour that may challenge is also desirable. You will need to be enthusiastic, friendly, enjoy your work and have a positive outlook on life and a real desire to help people achieve their goals and reach their full potential. A great team player, who is flexible, organised and has the skills to work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the people we support receive the highest level of care is required. Being able to adapt and respond to evolving situations with a person-centred approach is essential for an independent living scheme. There are also times when the people we support will need support with managing behaviours of concern. Where there are training needs identified these will be provided. Job Introduction Access to Housing is a strategic team responsible for a range of programmes and projects that support vulnerable people across the district. These include: homeless and rough sleepers, domestic abuse survivors, asylum seekers and refugees etc. The Housing Strategy and Intelligence Officer plays a key role within the team by providing data driven insights, research, and analysis to inform policy decisions, improve service delivery and shape housing strategies. This work ensures that the team's initiatives are evidence base, effective and responsive to the needs to the district. We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual to take the lead in providing intelligence support for the Council's housing-related functions. This role will involve conducting strategy and policy reviews, acting as the primary point of contact for housing data, research, and intelligence, and driving evidence-based decision-making to support service transformation and development. Key responsibilities will include leading service reviews, overseeing implementation, and monitoring outcomes to ensure effective policy impact. You will play a crucial role in improving the provision of data, information, and intelligence, enabling the organisation and its partners to gain valuable insights for policy implementation and efficient service design and delivery. To succeed in this role, you will need: • Strong expertise in policy and strategy development, data analysis, and insight generation. • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and relationship management skills. • Strong report-writing abilities and adaptability to manage competing priorities in a fast-changing environment. • Extensive experience in a public sector or similar organisation, specifically in a data, information, or intelligence role. • Demonstrable experience within a housing organisation, local authority housing service, or in providing housing intelligence or strategic support. • Advanced proficiency in using, developing, and manipulating spreadsheets, databases, and mapping software for policy analysis and review. Qualifications &amp; Experience An NQF Level 5 qualification in a field with a strong focus on research and analysis, OR significant relevant experience demonstrating equivalent research and analytical skills.
