The Vacancy In our Housing Officer role, you'll be responsible for providing a high-level housing service for our customers across Grimsby and surrounding areas. You'll ensure that our customers always receive an excellent service. You'll be working with our customers, engaging them and providing opportunities to be involved in their neighbourhoods, ultimately aiming to make a positive difference to the quality of life for people and communities. Location: Grimsby and surrounding areas with a minimum of 1 day p/week in one of our offices. Salary: Up to £37,785.59 per annum Contract: Permanent Your week: 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9.00am to 17.15pm) Snapshot of your role This is what your day will look like as our Housing Officer: <ul> <li>Lead, manage and review complaints of anti-social behaviour, race and hate crime incidents and hoarding - working alongside the Tenancy Enforcement Team and ASB specialists.</li> <li>Ensure that potential safeguarding issues (including tenants who have suffered domestic abuse) involving both adults and children are identified and managed in partnership with other agencies.</li> <li>Manage all tenancies in accordance with our policies and procedures, completing new tenant visits to ensure the tenant has moved in and is complying with the terms of their tenancy. Where required, engage with our Tenancy Enforcement Team to initiate legal action for any breaches of tenancy, attending court and evictions as required.</li> <li>Help to identify and support local initiatives which add social value; encouraging community cohesion and working in partnership with our Customer Service team to help customers to develop skills to gain training, education and employment.</li></ul>Your toolkit for success To thrive in our Housing Officer role, you'll need: <ul> <li>A strong knowledge of Housing Law, and a background of dealing with anti-social behaviour cases, legislation and legal processes. </li> <li>To have previous experience of preparing legal paperwork, engaging with legal practitioners and attending court hearings.</li> <li>Good digital skills across Microsoft packages.</li> <li>A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to be able to perform your duties in this role.</li></ul>Why join Amplius? The job itself Are you a qualified Social Worker with 5 years post qualifying social work experience? We are recruiting a Full time permanent Independent Reviewing Officer to join our Independent Reviewing Service based in County Hall, Beverley. We work with our children who are 'looked after' including those children receiving short break provision and our privately fostered children in the community overseeing their care plans. The service works closely with partner agencies, foster carers, parents and the child's network and social workers to review and monitor care planning for our children and young people. The full time post is a new post and will join 5 fulltime IRO's, and one part time IRO, the role reports directly to the Independent Safeguarding and Reviewing Area Manager (IRO and IFCRO) and will include key responsibilities;<ul><li>Chairing Review Meetings: IROs chair regular review meetings to assess and monitor the care plans for looked-after children1. Quality Assurance: They ensure that the care plans are effective and meet the child's needs, taking into account the child's wishes and feelings. Monitoring Care: IROs monitor the implementation of the care plan, ensuring that decisions made during reviews are acted upon. Advocacy: They advocate for the child's rights and well-being, ensuring that the child is informed about their rights and can voice their concerns. Independence: IROs work independently from the child's social worker to provide an unbiased perspective on the child's care1.
