Recovery Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has become available to work in the Accommodation Team, within the Council's Housing Needs Service. The Housing Needs Service is responsible for preventing homelessness in Wakefield and providing support and assistance to those who are already homeless. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and open minded person to join the team as an Accommodation Officer. This role involves supporting people who have been placed in temporary accommodation to move-on into suitable settled accommodation. To ensure that the conditions of the temporary placement are being met and to address any presenting issues, such as: repairs, arrears, and anti-social behaviour. The post of the Accommodation Officer is a very varied and rewarding role which will give the post holder the opportunity to work closely with vulnerable people in the Wakefield district and help discharge the Council's duties under the Homelessness Reduction Act. This role involves holding a caseload and visiting people in their temporary accommodation across the Wakefield district so the ability to travel flexibly is essential. Neighbourhood Housing Officer - 17.5 hours

Housing Support Worker We are recruiting for a Full time, permanent position. Housing Support Worker

Support Worker Salary: (full time) Starting salary £25,115, rising to £26,425 after 12 months and rising to £27,355 after a further 12 months. Pro rata This role requires a full driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle Main Purpose To provide high quality housing and support services to residents in order to assist them to sustain their tenancies. Specific tasks <ul><li> Assist residents when moving in, or out of Target accommodation. </li></ul><ul><li> Assess the circumstances, aspirations and needs of each resident in order to make a support plan that is relevant to the resident and realistic in its achievement.</li></ul><ul><li> Act as residents' keyworker offering advice and support to negotiated and agreed support planning to enable them to develop their skills for independent living.</li></ul><ul><li> Assist residents to maximise their income and to manage their personal budgets.</li></ul><ul><li> Support residents to understand their rights and responsibilities under their occupancy agreements.</li></ul><ul><li> Support and motivation to residents encouraging them to achieve personal goals.</li></ul><ul><li> Carry out regular resident risk assessment and ensure it is properly recorded and copied to relevant officers in the organisation.</li></ul><ul><li> Review support plans periodically and adapt them according to changing needs</li></ul><ul><li> Make sure residents pay the rent due to Target Housing as required by the occupancy agreement.
