Housing Officer Shiregreen, Sheffield - covering South Yorkshire £32,242 - £33,939 per year 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 17:00pm We have an opportunity for a Housing Officer to join our Housing team based in Sheffield. The role will include working within the local housing team and will be responsible for delivering high quality housing management services across South Yorkshire. This will involve making sure that our properties are safe and attractive places to live and ensuring that tenancies are being conducted in a satisfactory way. This is a varied opportunity that will see you managing a range of situations and helping to build key relationships between Sanctuary Housing and our tenants. Working in a professional manner to resolve problems and improve services. The role of Housing Officer will include: Working within the local operations housing team, as Housing Officer you will be responsible for delivering high quality housing management services across South Yorkshire. Your specific duties will include: <ul> <li>handling customer enquiries from our repairs and housing management call centres</li> <li>viewing of properties</li> <li>sign up of new tenants</li> <li>general tenancy management (including Anti-Social Behaviour case work)</li> <li>scheme risk assessments</li> <li>home visits and inspections</li> <li>ensuring gas and fire safety compliance is met. </li></ul>In addition, you will also be required to provide information in support of central services and liaise with internal teams to ensure the best outcome for our customers. The role may include supervision of housing for older person scheme managers. Skills and experiences: <ul> <li>Proven experience of working within the social housing sector </li> <li>Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation</li> <li>An understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential, along with the ability to update electronic systems</li> <li>Experience and knowledge of good practice resident involvement activities </li> <li>Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential</li></ul>Why work for us?
