We are currently recruiting for a nice temporary opportunity within the Neighbourhood Services Team as my clients Neighbourhood Officer. Our client is a large (recently amalgamated) Housing Group based in Wembley, London – role pays the hourly equivalent to £42,317 per annum.Role Purpose: To provide effective and flexible neighbourhood management services to our customers to help build a community they are proud to live in. Carry out pre-void property inspections and tenancy audits as requested * To make timely external and appropriate referrals to statutory bodies and other agencies as needed and work in partnership to address safeguarding. Neighbourhood Officer

We are seeking to recruit a Housing Officer. The Housing Officer will be primarily responsible for the smooth running and cleaning needs of the onsite housing accommodation which consists of 29 houses, 8 flats and 8 houses in multiple occupancy (HMO). Additionally, the post holder will assist with quality auditing the cleaning contractors of all Babraham Institute Departments as required by the Housing Manager. The Housing Officer will be a main point of contact for the campus tenanted housing facility, which involves answering phone enquiries, monitoring and answering emails and dealing with any events that may arise in a professional manner. The Housing Officer will manage a diary of new tenancy arrivals and departures and carry out check in, check outs and issuing of keys. It would be desirable if the candidate had previous experience working in an accommodation facility, managing accommodation and/or experience having cleaning responsibilities in an office environment. The suitable candidate will be able to work as a team member, have a flexible approach to ADHOC duties and be able to adapt to change. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain safety and security, including property inspections and monitoring adherence to house protocols. • Provide housing management support, including resident inductions, welfare benefits guidance and addressing anti-social behaviour (ASB). • Develop and review support plans, conduct risk assessments, and document updates. • Foster tenant engagement through meetings, activities, and community involvement. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support. • Perform administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with GDPR and organizational policies. • Respond effectively to incidents and emergencies. Skills Required: • Strong organisational and time management skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with diverse groups. • Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations effectively. • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and utilizing IT systems. • Understanding of housing-related support and statutory services.
