When working in the housing sector you can find things fast moving and hard to keep up with the best practice in the industry. With the new Social Housing (Regulation) Act some housing professionals working in England are required to have a certain level of qualification, and we're seeing professionalism being addressed in all nations. This article gives you a taste of some of the CIH resources that are available to support you to be a better housing professional.


***New staff training available***

Introduction to social housing for new staff: Social housing in England is a £200 billion industry with an amazing history. This online training course will provide you with both big picture vision and aspirations of social housing, as well as exploring the day-to-day practicalities and challenges within the sector. This training will be valuable for anyone who works in social housing that wants a better understanding of the history of social housing and the fundamentals.

CIH housing qualifications

CIH housing qualifications are designed with the housing sector, for the housing sector. Establish yourself as a professional in the housing sector and ensure you have the theoretical knowledge, essential skills, and learning to perform at the highest level in your job and thrive in your career. 

CIH qualifications are delivered by our approved study centres. Centres will support you on your journey, working to the specification and the learning outcomes for each course. Whether you’re starting out in the housing sector or are an experienced professional, we have qualifications suited to you. CIH qualifications range from level two for anyone new to the housing sector, through to postgraduate certificates for those in strategic management roles. Select the level for you to find the right qualification to suit your experience and ambitions. 

 

Level two qualifications

If you are new to the housing sector or wish to pursue a career in the housing sector, our level two qualifications are designed to provide you with an introduction to the subject and are suitable for residents, assistants and administrators. Follow the links below to find out more:

 

Level three qualifications

Our level three qualifications are designed to provide you with contextual and specialised knowledge to support you in your role and career. They are suitable for housing practitioners who are already working in the sector e.g. officers and co-ordinators. Level four qualifications

Our level four qualifications are designed to explore in greater depth the contextual and specialised knowledge for the housing professional. They are suitable for supervisors and managers. Level five qualification
