We are seeking a proactive, flexible and independent Accommodation Assistant to join the Residential Services division of our award winning Estates & Campus Services department.
The post holder will work with colleagues to provide a high quality and super supportive accommodation service, delivering support for students living on and off-campus and developing a positive and thriving community living experience for students whilst also delivering administrative support to enable the efficient functioning of Residential Services.
We are an accredited Living Wage Foundation Employer and currently pay the real living wage, which is currently £24,309 per annum. In recognition of this, the starting salary for this post has been increased to pay this higher amount which currently supersedes the actual Grade 4 salary before living wage.
About you
You will have the ability to work independently and pro-actively and be experienced in resolving complicated queries, prioritising and escalating activity where appropriate.
You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside the ability to show sensitivity in communication, especially when supporting students with complex accommodation needs. Experience of delivering excellent customer service is essential, in addition to the ability to work to appropriate quality standards.

Our award winning Estates & Campus Services department is a large, busy and diverse directorate with over 250 colleagues managing and supporting 27 academic or support buildings across 8 locations, and c. 2,400 bed spaces across 10 accommodation buildings.
