About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join the Accommodation Team who provide help to clients in need of temporary and support accommodation. This is a fast moving and demanding service, the team deal with daily challenges to ensure vulnerable clients are provided with accommodation.

The Accommodation Team comprises of three Accommodation Gateways; Single Person Gateway, Family Gateway and Young Person Gateway.

About the job

The role of the team is to secure suitable temporary and supported accommodation for clients accessing the Service. The demands on the service and the priorities for the team are ever changing throughout any given day and the post holder will need to have the skills to manage change and problem solve.

What We Are Looking For From You

Experience of working with the public, in a housing related environment will be an advantage. You may be required to work until 19:00 hours to meet the demands of a very busy service.

Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Director/ Assistant Director/ Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
