Role: Assistant Housing Manager Independent Living
Location: Girton, Cambridge
Contract: 35 Hours p/w Monday to Friday
Hours: £31,000

Abbeyfield are looking for an Assistant Housing Manager, ideally with experience in managing housing for older people, for our Cambridgeshire community led development. Girton Green was purpose built in 2012, with an onsite restaurant.

Role of the Assistant Housing Manager
  • Customer & Tenancy Management
Leasehold management services and tenancy agreements are effectively overseen to ensure a positive accommodation experience within a safe and secure environment. Customer expectations are proactively managed, and high standards of service are consistently maintained.
  • Restaurant & Hospitality Operations
Oversee daily restaurant and housekeeping operations, ensuring efficient service, strong health and safety practices, and full departmental compliance. Maintain effective budget control while consistently delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Leadership and Management
Supervision of housekeeping and restaurant teams, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained to ensure consistent service delivery. Provide support to all team members as needed, acting as the point of contact in the Housing Manager's absence.

About You
  • You have experience working in housing management within a person-centred care and support environment, ideally in a sheltered housing setting.
  • You hold a Level 4 in Housing, or willing to work towards achieving this qualification.
  • You bring strong knowledge and understanding of the national health and social care strategy for older people.
