
Business Partner (Service Charges)
Our client is a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on providing quality homes at below-market rents for people who would otherwise struggle to afford them. They are both a landlord and a developer, with more than 60,000 existing homes and 3,000 more in our pipeline over the next five years, and a well-established commercial business from which they reinvest surpluses to support the provision of below market-rent homes across the capital.
They are now recruiting for a fantastic permanent opportunity as their Business Partner within Income Optimisation, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations and strategy within the department. Your focus will be on managing and aligning processes with the unique requirements of service charge operations, ensuring fair and transparent charging for residents.

Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 days WFH)
Position: Permanent
Salary: £44,130 - £49,033 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial aspects of service charges, ensuring compliance with audit and legal requirements.
- Analyse and interpret financial data, providing insights for operational decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and transparent charging for residents, working closely with Finance Business Partners.
- Collaborate with contract managers to develop cost-effective services while maintaining value for money.
- Oversee the full service charge cycle, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve service efficiency.
- Utilise Excel, Power BI, and D365 for financial reporting and data management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Significant experience working with service charge regimes (both fixed and variable).
- Strong knowledge of tenancy agreements, leases, and deeds of transfer.
- Excellent analytical skills, with experience managing large and complex data sets.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, and D365.
- Experience in a business partnering role, providing strategic and operational support.
- Proven track record in service improvement and stakeholder engagement.
