About this job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Business Support Officers to support the Business and Quality Performance Team in delivering our new private rented property licensing schemes. This entails: Providing financial, administrative and support services to meet the requirements of Enforcement Services. This includes processing and monitoring payments, income and expenditure relating to Enforcement Services. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that a flexible, modern, and effective service is provided that meets the needs of managers and promotes a positive image of the council. Validating and processing applications in respect of licences in accordance with legislation. Developing systems that will monitor that statutory timescales are met with regards to complex legislation, reporting any deficits to and providing monitoring information for the Head of Quality & Business Performance. Providing accurate statistical information for service management and scrutiny. Contributing to the maintenance of accurate and up to date service user records. Supporting the undertaking of daily reconciliations to ensure all monetary values are accounted for and report any discrepancies. Ensuring all documentation and reports are fully auditable and in line with new legislation.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience of administrative work dealing with a high volume of data and will have a clear desire to undertake on the job learning. They will have the ability to work as part of a team and will be confident in assisting managers, staff and members of the public to resolve their queries.
