We have anexcellent opportunity for a Part time Band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join ourPlanned Care services providing input to the Homeless Mental Health Service(HMHS) specifically supporting people with substance use difficulties.
This is a 12month, fixed term post, with a 15 hour work week, which can be worked flexibly,based at OSL House, LE19 1XU. The post sits within our award-winning HomelessMental Health Service (HMHS) supporting a Public Health initiative to reachthose who are rough sleeping with substance use difficulties within theCity.
This role isexpected to include some street outreach work and clinical work in venues wherethose experiencing homelessness feel comfortable (e.g. frequently from citycentre hostels and day centres). The health and wellbeing of our team membersis very important to us and we offer a robust induction period, as well asregular supervision and support.

Main duties of the job
You willwork alongside two established 8b Clinical Psychologists who will offer regularclinical supervision, line management and ad-hoc support.You will offer specialist assessment, formulation and intervention toservice-users. Indirect work will include reflective practice andpsychologically-informed training and supervising others.
You will play a keyrole in service development, including in further nurturing apsychologically-informed service culture.
The postoffers the opportunity to develop leadership qualities and a substantial partof the indirect work will be multi-agency partnership working. Crucially, theseservices view the difficulties faced by service-users within thesocio-political context of their lives and you will be able to develop thisaspect of your psychology praxis.
We havestrong links to the University of Leicester DClinPsy course; offering teachingsessions, trainee placements and input to the development of the curriculum.Our service is also part of a network of LPT clinical psychologistsrepresenting adult mental health, child, learning disability, neuropsychology,health psychology and forensic mental health, and you will be encouraged to bea part of this forum. The Trust has excellent on-line and face to face trainingsessions and applications for external training are welcomed.
