Summary

This is initially a fixed-term contract to 31 March 2026, with potential to extend. It is currently a part-time role (3 days per week).

Key elements of the role are:
  • To manage and develop Polka's community engagement projects, particularly reaching out to marginalised and under-represented families from the local community.
  • To nurture existing relationships and create new links with under-represented and marginalised children and groups within the local community.
  • To nurture external partnerships with relevant agencies throughout the Borough of Merton and neighbouring boroughs.
  • To work closely with Polka's Development Team to identify and help secure funding opportunities and support detailed reporting on projects to sustain funding relationships.
Salary: £28,000 to £30,500 per year pro rata, depending on experience

Hours: 3 days per week (21 hours which excludes a lunch break of 1 hour). You may need to work some additional hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel out of London when required (we operate a Time Off In Lieu, 'TOIL' system).
