We arelooking for a dedicated Community Engagement Officer to join the team at MaryAnn Evans Hospice. If you are looking for a meaningful role where you can makea real impact on the lives of others, we would love to hear from you.

As theCommunity Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in raising awareness ofthe hospices services and building strong, lasting relationships withindividuals, local groups, and businesses. You will lead and implementcommunity outreach initiatives, creating opportunities for local people to getinvolved in supporting the hospice and its vital work.This is a permanent full-time post working aspart of the Mary Ann Evans Hospices Marketing and Income Generation team. Therole is based primarily in Nuneaton, but with outreach across the local area toincrease levels of community and corporate engagement by raising awareness ofthe work of the hospice.

Qualificationsand Experience:

NVQLevel 3 or above, or equivalent in a relevant subject e.g. Marketing, Businessor Communications.

Demonstrableexperience of engaging with different audiences and communities

Experienceof working on independently.

Asolution approach to problem solving.

Proficiencywith using social media platforms, such as Facebook, , LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Ableto use MS Windows applications and publishing software to a good level.

Main duties of the job

1.Workwith the Head of Marketing & Income Generation / Marketing & IncomeGeneration Team Lead, to support the income generation strategy and achievementof our budget.

2.Buildstrong relationships with local communities, businesses and schools to raiseawareness and increase support and engagement with Mary Anns work.

3.Developproductive partnerships with a range of organisations and relevant groups,promoting the work of Mary Ann widely to encourage engagement with the Charity.

4.Workwith the wider Marketing and Income Generation Team to support communityfundraising.

5.Worktowards establishing a robust, group of local supporters to help drive thecommunity fundraising strategy.

6.Attendfundraising, networking and other events as required, potentially in a widerange of locations requiring travel. This will involve some weekend and eveningwork.

7.Workwith the Marketing & Income Generation Team to utilise all forms of mediain the promotion of forthcoming events and the work of the charity.

8.Ensureall data and monitoring information is recorded using Mary Ann Evans systems,with emphasis on good record-keeping.

9.Workin strict accordance with Mary Ann Evans values, policies and procedures.

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject e.g., Marketing, Business, or Communications.
Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of engaging with different audiences and communities.
  • Experience of working on their own.
  • A solution approach to problem solving.
  • Proficiency with using social media platforms, such as Facebook, , LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Able to use MS Windows applications and publishing software to a good level.
Desirable

  • Experience of working in a charity/fundraising environment.
  • Awareness of safeguarding processes.
  • Experience of using Canva, or a similar creative application.
  • Experience of updating websites.
