Care and support
Full time
If you have significant experience of working within community settings, have successfully led and inspired teams, and are committed to empowering communities, then this is the role for you. Bring your passion and expertise to help shape and deliver impactful place-based community investment programmes that create lasting benefits for the people and places we support.

Our Peabody Community Foundation supports people in our communities to live healthier, wealthier and happier lives. To help deliver our core social purpose, your strategic mindset and strong leadership skills will ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of Peabody's place-based community investment activity in North West London, focusing on our key boroughs in the region - Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

As a Community Investment Manager, you'll work closely with key stakeholders, including people living in our communities, to ensure our programmes are responsive, resident-led, and aligned with local priorities.

You'll lead and motivate a team of five, supporting them to deliver high-quality work alongside other colleagues and collaborators. This will span projects as diverse as Open Havelock in Southall, the deepening of our work in Church Road in Brent and working with communities living in and around our heritage estates and our newer developments, including Friary Park in Acton and Portobello Square in North Kensington.

You'll also play a key role in building strategic public, private and third sector partnerships, securing funding, and ensuring Peabody's community investment work is impactful, data-driven, and financially sustainable.

You'll be expected to travel extensively to oversee projects, meet with people in our communities, and collaborate with partners. You'll be in a wider team of other regional Community Investment Managers, working in North East London, South London, Thamesmead and the home counties - all working collectively to drive impact.

This is a dynamic and strategic role, and if you've ever wanted a job where you can truly make a difference, this is it.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading on the development and delivery of place-based community investment plans that respond to local needs and priorities
  • Building strong relationships with residents to ensure projects are co-designed and community-led
  • Overseeing a £700k budget, ensuring effective financial management and investment in high-impact projects
  • Managing a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation to deliver excellent outcomes
  • Working in partnership with local authorities, MPs and councillors, funders, public health teams, and grassroots organisations to bring investment, resources, and opportunities to Peabody neighbourhoods
  • Using impact measurement tools to evidence and enhance the effectiveness of our community investment programmes
What We're Looking For
  • A passion for driving positive social change in diverse communities
  • Proven experience in successfully designing, delivering, and measuring community investment projects
  • A strong track record of working with communities, building trust, and delivering resident-led initiatives
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience in managing teams, projects, and budgets
  • The ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships, leveraging funding and resources to benefit local communities
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, from residents to senior officials
