Job summary
In line with the outputs of the public consultation of Community Mental Health Services the Planned Treatment & Recovery Teams (PTRT) are moving to a place-based structure, incorporating existing specialisms and functionalities into a single Neighbourhood based non-urgent mental health offer. The new teams will include both adult and older adult pathways, mental health practitioners in primary care assessments and interventions, employment support service, and the expertise of our specialist teams to input into the mental health offers via our hub and spoke model of delivery.
We are very excited to be recruiting for Community Managers to lead, deliver and manage our Neighbourhood Mental Health teams across LLR.

- Early interventions to reduce severity.
- Providing a consistent support offer across all of Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland
- Joined up cohesive working across agencies (VCS/3rd sector, internal LPT services, Health and Social care) to support individual needs.
- To have overall responsibility for leadership and delegated responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the designated multi-disciplinary team within the post holders portfolio
- Contribute to the development of challenging and ambitious service development strategies, anticipating future needs, for the agreed service areas.To be responsible for the line management of relevant clinical staff within the Neighbourhood Teams; to include clear systems of professional appraisal, and identification of CPD needs. To contribute to the continuing modernisation and transformation of the Adult/Older Adult Community Services, including realisation of the aims and targets reflected in national and local Strategies.To be allocated signatory budget holder for the Neighbourhood team with responsibility for the ongoing monitoring and forecasting of projected expenditure on each budget allocation.
- To participate in the on-call rota for the Directorate
- To manage all team activity effectively ensuring that person-centred health interventions link complexity of need to delegated team resources and urgency of need to appropriateness of service response.
