Main duties of the job

We are looking for a visionary Community Nursing Manager to join our dedicated team at a time of exciting service development. In this pivotal role, you will lead and inspire a skilled team of nurses, helping to shape the future of community hospice care. You will work collaboratively with community nursing teams, IPU Nurse Manager and the wider interdisciplinary team to deliver truly holistic, person-centred care.

The Nurse Manager(Community) role purpose is to provide highly effective clinical leadership,management, co-ordination and development of specialist palliative careservices provided by our Telephone Support Line and Outreach Team.

To support the teamsin the delivery of high-quality specialist palliative care ensuring that thehighest standards of holistic nursing care are provided for individuals througha seamless 24/7 service and effective interdisciplinary working.

The role willwork in close partnership with Clinical Leads and Associate Directors to evolveIntegrated Clinical Service provision and delivery of the Hospices ClinicalStrategy.

  • Diverse clinical experience including generalist palliative care
  • Previous clinical leadership experience
  • People management experience including performance management and recruitment
  • Experience in developing and teaching others
Desirable

  • Palliative care experience
  • Experience in non-malignant disease
Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse /Paramedic
  • Degree in Adult Nursing
  • Practice Supervisor and/or Assessor Qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Evidence of attending communication training

  • Advanced communications qualification
  • Qualification in Palliative Care
  • Leadership /Management qualification
  • Clinical Supervisor
