We are recruiting a Community and Stakeholder Relationships Manager to join our team across a Life Science portfolio and predominantly based at two Science Parks in Cambridge. The individual will be the driving force in the creation and delivery of a new, bespoke community and customer experience & engagement programme for the occupiers, and local stakeholders.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work with a key player in the UK commercial property market, at the heart of the UK's science, technology and innovation cluster of Cambridge, as part of the strategically important Life Sciences sector.

About Cambridge Research Park (CRP) and Vision Park (VP)

CRP and VP are owned and managed by Royal London Asset Management (RLAM). RLAM is a leading global active asset manager that puts clients at the heart of what they do. Their ownership throughout Cambridge spans across CRP and VP totalling 675,151 sq ft of assets on 125 acres, making them an expert in the local market.

CRP is a 112 acre park situated on the A10 just a few miles north of Cambridge city centre. It is home to over 20 businesses within 235,000 sq ft across 16 buildings. This exciting, self-contained community is positioned around lakes and leafy avenues, providing an unrivalled environment for business. Royal London Asset Management has secured planning consent to deliver additional science-led development at the site establishing CRP as a leading science cluster in the Cambridge area. Part of this investment includes an enhancement of the public realm as well as the amenities at the park.

Located near to CRP, VP is a well-established research park situated in beautiful landscaped grounds with a lakeside café. Home to life-science, technology and professional based businesses.

Both parks benefit from attractive landscaped grounds with an abundance of grassed areas and outdoor seating for employees to truly embrace the work-life balance. The outside space and amenities provide a vibrant, social, campus-like feel to both parks.

Objective of Role

The purpose of the Community and Stakeholder Relationships Manager (CSRM) is to play a key role in the creation and delivery of a new, bespoke community and customer experience & engagement programme for the occupiers, and local stakeholders at Cambridge Research Park (CRP) and Vision Park (VP).

The aim is to achieve greater occupier satisfaction and establish CRP and VP as the top Life Science, Tech and Innovation workplace within the Golden Triangle. The role will manage and promote exceptional amenity and wellness initiatives for the Park's occupiers.

The role will also include involvement in daily operational matters within the buildings, which will further support improved occupier satisfaction.

Team Structure

The CSRM will report directly into the General Manager (GM) and is expected to develop a close working relationship with the JLL Property Manager, and the Client's (RLAM) Asset Managers, taking guidance as appropriate. The CSRM will also work closely with the Customer Experience (CX) team within Bewonder*.

You will promote CRP culture through your behaviours and actions. Working with the General Manager, you will act as custodian of the Brand Values, Asset Vision and Cultural Pillars, ensuring all other team members (JLL and service partners) understand, embody and promote them in everything that they do.

  • Stakeholder satisfaction and development on new relationships
  • Support and delivery of the strategy and KPIs associated with this
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Working with Property Manager and RLAM Asset Manager, act as the lead contact and co-ordinator for, communication and events, working closely with the CX team (Bewonder*) and the onsite and external Food & Beverage (F&B) teams
  • Establishing regular meetings with the main occupier representatives to develop strong working relationships and support ongoing communications on operations and events. Meetings are to be captured and shared with RLAM AM and Property Manager
  • Working closely with the CX team (Bewonder*) and the AM to create and oversee an engaging and vibrant community/place making strategy targeted at connecting the customers within CRP. This strategy may include retail experiential activation, support of local charities, networking opportunities for local businesses and wellbeing programmes for occupiers
  • Work closely with the CX team (Bewonder*) and support occupier customer feedback programs and surveys as appropriate and use the feedback to inform strategy
  • Assist with implementing the use of technology to manage efficiencies and support in the delivery of the community strategy, including and associated apps. This may include daily content management
  • Supporting JLL and client initiatives and projects at site level to ensure site and Company success
  • Maintain confidentiality of all appropriate communications and documentation

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Office skills
  • CRM experience
  • Ideally an interest in Life Science, Tech and Innovation
  • Knowledge of local Cambridge stakeholders - links to the university
  • Workplace app would be advantageous
  • Understanding of well-being programmes
  • Experience of small to medium scale event management
  • A passion for customer experience
  • Project management experience
