Permanent

Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

Birmingham City Council Community Safety Team are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to work as part of a small but busy and dynamic team.
The role of Community Safety Officer is to, develop, promote and deliver our strategic intension around community safety. You should be someone who works well within a diverse team, is committed, motivational to the teams' goals but has the ability to set their own targets and goals.

You should have the ability to develop and maintain internal and external partnerships and partners and forge links with communities. Working to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in neighbourhoods. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable talking to people, who can influence and take the lead when needed. To be able to think logically but also be creative with solutions.

You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, customer focused junior project management activities, to deliver smaller scale projects and activities to time, cost and quality through effective and clear planning, strong governance and reporting, and proactive risk, issue, and dependency management.
Identifying and using suitable sources of data and carrying out data analysis to help establish equality and inclusion needs. Gather, analyse, and interpret data and analysis from various sources, qualitative and quantitative, supporting the team in developing evidence-based community safety initiatives and strategies, with effective communication and engagement throughout.
