We are seeking a proactive, experienced and forward-thinking Senior Housing Strategy and Policy Officer to lead on the development and delivery of innovative housing strategies that respond to current and future housing needs.
This is a key strategic role, working closely with internal teams, elected members and external partners to deliver sustainable housing solutions that support economic growth, tackle homelessness and improve housing standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills, able to manage complex projects and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

- Develop and implement housing strategies aligned with corporate objectives and national policy.
- Lead on research, data analysis, and forecasting to inform housing needs assessments.
- Manage strategic housing projects, including affordable housing delivery and regeneration initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on housing policy, legislation, and funding opportunities.
- Oversee research, consultation, and engagement with communities and partner organisations.
- Build strong partnerships with developers, housing associations, and community stakeholders.
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills, able to manage complex projects and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience in housing strategy and policy development.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, policy, housing markets, affordable housing delivery, planning frameworks, and funding mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in housing, planning, or related discipline.
