We're seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker - Homelessness Specialist to join our Assessment Service, working with 16- and 17-year-olds facing homelessness and complex safeguarding concerns. In this specialist role, you will lead on assessments and interventions that ensure young people receive the support, protection, and stability they need. You will work closely with housing services, education providers, health professionals, and other key partners to deliver child-centred, trauma-informed practice that promotes safety and positive outcomes. In this post, you will also contribute to service development through monthly reporting to stakeholders and senior leaders, focusing on improvement and compliance in line with Ofsted recommendations. Your insight will help shape practice and drive continuous improvement across the service. About you
You will need to be passionate about striving for best outcomes for children, young people and their families and demonstrate creative and relational approaches to achieving these outcomes, working respectfully and taking account of their views, wishes and feelings. You will have extensive social work experience and have demonstrated the skill to use this knowledge to enhance the practice of others including the use of coaching, mentoring skills and the ability to motivate others. You will have proven expertise in working alongside management teams to drive and maintain excellent service delivery for children, young people and their families.
