Head of Housing
| Location: Ptarmigan House, Shrewsbury | Permanent, Full Time (37 hours/week)
Are you a dynamic leader ready to shape the future of social housing? STAR Housing is seeking a visionary Head of Housing to drive excellence across our core services-Neighbourhoods, Income Management, Lettings, Intensive Housing Management Support, and our Contact Centre.
You'll lead a multidisciplinary team, championing customer-centric, high-performing services that make a real difference to our tenants and communities. Your strategic leadership will ensure every resident has access to a safe, secure, and well-managed home, while you innovate, inspire, and deliver continuous improvement.
What you'll do:
• Develop and deliver housing strategies aligned with STAR's mission and values.
• Oversee neighbourhood management, income, lettings, and support for vulnerable tenants.
• Lead on safeguarding, anti-social behaviour, and community engagement.
• Drive performance, compliance, and risk management.
• Collaborate with partners-local authorities, police, health, and voluntary sectors-for joined-up service delivery.
What you'll bring:
• Proven leadership in housing management.
• Strong knowledge of social housing legislation and safeguarding.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex services.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
