The Vacancy
Are you an experienced housing professional with a passion for delivering excellent customer service? Join Platform Housing Group as a Home Ownership Officer and play a key role in managing our leasehold, freehold, and shared ownership properties post-sale. This is a dynamic, varied role where you'll be responsible for everything from service charges and rent accounts to resolving lease-related queries and responding to solicitor enquiries.
You'll work closely with our Service Charge and Sales teams to ensure that customers receive timely, accurate information and support throughout the lifecycle of their homeownership journey. Your day-to-day work will involve:

This is a dynamic, varied role where you'll be responsible for everything from service charges and rent accounts to resolving lease-related queries and responding to solicitor enquiries.
You'll work closely with our Service Charge and Sales teams to ensure that customers receive timely, accurate information and support throughout the lifecycle of their homeownership journey. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Managing rent accounts, service charges, and arrears.
- Responding to leasehold and legal queries, including producing LPE1s and addressing matters such as boundaries and lease covenants.
- Overseeing lease extensions, remortgages, and other leasehold consents.
- Liaising confidently with solicitors, local authorities, and internal teams to resolve customer concerns efficiently.
About You
You're someone who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment and can juggle competing priorities with ease. With a solid understanding of leasehold management and a keen eye for detail, you'll be confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Experience working within a housing association or in a leasehold/shared ownership role.
- Knowledge of current leaseholder legislation, service charges, and income collection processes.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, motivated attitude.
- Ability to produce legal documentation such as LPE1s and confidently respond to solicitor queries.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage your own workload.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for regular travel.
- A Level 3 housing qualification (or willingness to achieve one, with support from us).
