Job Location: Brindley Place, Birmingham

Salary: £39,000 + £750 Car allowance.

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 37 hours per week

At GreenSquareAccord, our mission is simple: to build better lives . Following our recent merger, we`re on an exciting journey to improve services for our customers and we`re looking for a Home Ownership Officer to help us deliver outstanding support to our leaseholders and shared owners.

This is a varied, customer-facing role where no two days are the same. You`ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio, providing expert advice and managing everything from resales and lease extensions to income collection and complex legal queries.

About the role

You`ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality home ownership service across the organisation, including:

  • Managing leasehold and shared ownership properties end-to-end
  • Handling customer queries, resales, staircasing, lease extensions, and legal matters
  • Investigating and resolving lease breaches, including unauthorised subletting
  • Leading Section 20 consultations and ensuring legal compliance
  • Collecting income, managing arrears, and representing cases in court or tribunal where required
  • Carrying out estate and block inspections and engaging with residents
  • Working with internal teams, solicitors, managing agents, and external partners
  • Supporting new developments and ensuring smooth handover into management
  • Resolving complaints and identifying service improvements
  • Safeguarding vulnerable customers and managing ASB cases
About you

We`re looking for someone who is organised, customer-focused, and confident handling complex cases. You`ll bring:

  • Strong experience in leasehold or housing management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and advise a range of stakeholders
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
  • Confidence dealing with challenging situations and conflict resolution
  • Experience in income collection and service charge management
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office; housing systems knowledge is a bonus)
  • A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
A relevant qualification (e.g. A-Levels/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is essential. Membership of CIH or specialist housing qualifications would be an advantage.
