About this opportunity
Cumberland Council is seeking a dedicated Homeless Accommodation Officer to support individuals and families across our emergency accommodation services. You'll play a vital role in providing housing-related support, conducting assessments, and ensuring safe, welcoming environments for residents. This is a hands-on role involving health and safety checks, property management, and collaborative work with internal teams and external partners to promote wellbeing and rehousing opportunities.
We're looking for someone with experience in supported housing, a sound understanding of homelessness legislation, and a commitment to safeguarding and equality. A qualification in specialist supported housing and a full UK driving licence are essential. In return, you'll be part of a supportive team culture, working on a rolling shift rota with access to training and development opportunities.
