Housing Options provides advice and assistance under the Council's corporate duty to help clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service provides assistance to vulnerable people when they are in greatest need.
About the job
The post holder will be expected to provide advice and assistance at first point of contact, to clients who have applied as homeless to the Council. This includes responding to queries through telephone and email contact and generally supporting the roles of the Frontline Assessment Officers by assisting with progressing homeless applications through investigations and enquiries.
What We Are Looking For From You
Experience of working with the public, in a housing related environment will be an advantage. You will need the skills to cope under pressure in a busy and challenging environment.
Additional information
This role is part-time at 18 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.
This post is temporary until 31/12/2025.
