In the Homeless Prevention Officer role, you will be:
- Delivering housing support & interventions, developing personal plans, and use practical measures like mediation, advocacy and referrals to prevent or relieve homelessness
- Providing advice, information, and signposting to additional services tailored to the needs of each service user
- Collaborating with local agencies, landlords, and community organisations to secure housing options and support services
- Maintaining detailed records and managing case records and documentation securely and accurately
- Taking services into the community through home visits, outreach activities, and participation in multi-agency meetings to address housing challenges collaboratively
- Previous housing experience including case management
- A strong understanding of housing legislation, particularly the Housing (Wales) Act 2014
- Problem-solving and organisation skills with a passion for helping people
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills
- Respect confidentiality and handle personal data responsibly under GDPR
- Competitive pay starting from £16.37 per hour, with overtime and holiday pay
- Full-time working hours - Monday to Friday
- Office based in Colwyn Bay
- Temporary assignment until the end of Feb 2025 initially.
