An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Homeless Relief Team. We are currently recruiting for two full time positions which are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. One is permenant and one is a temporary role for 3 years.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will contribute to and participate in providing a quality comprehensive and pro-active housing advice and homelessness assessment service for all our customers in order to prevent and relieve homelessness. You will provide positive outcomes for all customers where possible. In this role you will interview customers and assess their circumstances, you will carry out investigations and make sound decisions based on the information gathered. You will use creative casework to to deliver outcomes.

You will be required to participate in the out of hours service.

ABOUT YOU

You will have:
  • Experience in dealing with complex social issues and challenging customers using sensitive and assertive approach
  • Experience of working with mulitple agencies
  • Excellent level of computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management skills and organisational skills for caseload management
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Flexible approach to work, able to work flexibly throughout Cheshire East
