Job Description

  • East Suffolk Council, Lowestoft NR33 0EQ or Melton, Suffolk, IP12 1RT
  • £29,269 - £35,745 (Band 5 - 6)
  • 37 hours per week
  • Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Housing Needs Team as a Housing First Officer.

Your role:

The post holder will provide a flexible, open-ended packages of support, advice and assistance to people who are entrenched rough sleepers or are at risk of repeat homelessness so that they are able to access and maintain a safe and secure home of their own, in line with Housing First principles.

What you will need:

The candidate will have previous experience of using inter-personal and negotiating skills to achieve positive outcomes along with experience of working in a similar role and relevant qualification in the sector.
