This is a great opportunity to join our team here in Eastbourne Road, St Austell, Cornwall. You'll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

What you'll do
  • Work with customers from Adult Social Care
  • Make sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, involving them in their tenancies
  • Help with housing benefit claims so rent accounts stay on track.
  • When needed, you issue and sign warning letters or notices and sometimes attend court.
  • Get rooms ready for the next customer quickly, turning around vacant spaces so they're safe, clean and welcoming.
  • Keep everything compliant with health and safety and make sure maintenance standards are met

You have
  • Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties
  • Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
  • Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
  • Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

The practical bits
  • You will work Monday to Friday 9am -5pm.
  • Based at our service in St Austell where you will predominately work
  • Able to use technology for making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups
  • If you need to work at another service, you will need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we'll pay your mileage!
  • You'll need an Enhanced DBS, we pay for it.
