We have an exciting opportunity to join Housing Services. You will deliver a fast, efficient, and customer-focused decant service to East Riding residents, minimising void loss while providing excellent customer service and ensuring the Council complies with all relevant legislation.
We are seeking an individual who can work in close collaboration with a range of internal departments and external partners. The role will have a strong focus on our Sheltered Housing Refurbishment Programme and our upcoming New Build Schemes, which are due for completion over the next two years. The postholder will support the effective allocation of these new properties, ensuring they are let to residents across the East Riding in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities will include monitoring progress, obtaining regular updates on works, and ensuring all processes contribute to the Council's commitment to delivering high-quality and efficient housing services.
The successful applicant will be required to travel to various locations within the East Riding. They must be a strong team player, capable of delivering difficult messages when necessary, and able to work in a well-organised and structured manner.
Although the post will nominally be based at the Town Hall in Bridlington, the Council anticipates that the successful candidate will work in a blended and flexible way. This will include working from home, from other council locations, and from the office in line with service needs. The Council is committed to offering flexibility where it benefits both residents and officers, meaning the designated base location will not limit where the role can be effectively undertaken.
