Permanent

Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the new block at Perry Barr Commonwealth Games site which has recently been acquired by Birmingham City Council's Housing Management. You will have responsibility for managing the new block and will be required to be based on site Monday to Friday ensuring tenants are maintaining the high standard, brand new feel. You must have experience in dealing with difficult conversations, dealing with Anti-social behaviour issues that occur.

Initially responsible for supervising Neighbourhood and Estate caretakers on a day-to-day basis (Subject to the Housing Redesign) which include undertaking one to one's, return to work interviews, identify training needs, setting targets and undertake risk assessments and dealing with any performance issues. Reporting repairs as required and ensuring that the properties are kept free from hazards and meet our Health and Safety standards.

Following the implementation of the new redesign you will have a defined area which will include the Perry Barr - Plot 9.

You will be required to:
  • Have a good knowledge of property management, particularly Health and Safety
  • Inspect properties every 3 to 4 months ensuring they are being kept to a high standard.
  • Deal with all Anti-social behaviour issues and conditions of tenancy breaches.
  • Support tenant with any queries when they have been allocated the property.
  • Conduct Monthly Block Inspections (Subject to redesign)
  • The ability to communicate with our various stakeholders.
  • Answer complaints and queries through Birmingham Feedback.
