Role Description:

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join our team and be a visible presence in our neighbourhoods. This role is all about building strong relationships with our customers, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional service.

As a Housing Officer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers, ensuring they feel supported and valued. You will be out and about in the community, visiting customers, and attending local events to foster a sense of trust and collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with the community: Be a visible and approachable presence in our neighbourhoods, attending community events and meeting with customers regularly.
  • Customer-focused service: Provide personalised support to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  • Tenancy and neighbourhood management: Maximise rent and void loss, manage lower-level ASB cases, and ensure tenancy sustainment with a strong customer focus.
  • Collaborate with partners: Work alongside internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive services to our customers.
  • Estate inspections: Conduct regular estate inspections, monitor estate services, and complete fire safety inspections to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Housing Officer, with a strong track record of working in housing management.
  • Excellent customer service skills: Put the customer at the heart of everything you do, with a genuine desire to help and support our residents.
  • Strong communication skills: Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and partners, both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Tackle challenges with a positive attitude and find solutions that benefit our customers.
  • Organisational skills: Manage your time effectively to balance community engagement with administrative tasks.
