We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Housing Officer to join our expanding Bromley Homes team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a developing housing portfolio and ensuring residents receive quality, responsive housing management.

In this role, you will deliver a comprehensive range of tenancy and property management services across a mixed social housing and temporary accommodation portfolio. You will work closely with tenants, support providers, contractors, and internal teams to:

• Sustain tenancies and promote positive resident engagement

• Manage rent accounts and address arrears proactively

• Ensure properties are safe, well-maintained and compliant

• Resolve tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour

• Support residents with a wide range of housing needs

This is a varied, rewarding and hands-on position that requires excellent organisational skills, a confident approach to problem-solving and a genuine commitment to supporting residents to thrive.

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong background in social housing or local authority housing management, who understands the responsibilities and priorities of working with diverse communities. You will bring:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships

• Experience managing a busy caseload and prioritising effectively

• Sound understanding of tenancy law, housing management, and temporary accommodation processes

• Experience working within a local authority or registered housing provider

• Confidence using housing management systems and Microsoft Office

• A relevant housing qualification (such as CIH Level 3) or substantial experience in a similar social housing role
