Job Introduction
The pay range for this role will be £33,699- £39,152 (pro rata for part time colleagues)

HOUSING OFFICER (High-Rise blocks)

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our Housing team in a busy housing office based in Poole. The team is responsible for delivering housing services across Poole.
This role will be specifically responsible for the Poole High-Rise Tower Blocks.

HOUSING OFFICER (High-Rise blocks)

We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our Housing team in a busy housing office based in Poole. The team is responsible for delivering housing services across Poole.
This role will be specifically responsible for the Poole High-Rise Tower Blocks.
Your duties will include:
- Completing Tenancy Review visits for tenants of high-rise blocks and completing any follow up actions.
- Completing Person Centred Fire Risk assessments.
- Where required, completing Personalised Emergency Evacuation Plans.
- Check internal smoke detectors to ensure they are fully operational and report any defects promptly
- Checking the safety of all balconies on an annual basis and additionally where required to ensure window locks are working correctly and advise tenants on balcony window safety.
- Identifying and reporting of repairs.
- Previous experience of working with the public face to face in difficult situations
- Previous experience of managing social housing
- Knowledge of measures to prevent and deal with tenancy breaches
- Knowledge of the importance of safeguarding of vulnerable people
- Ability to apply tact, diplomacy and awareness to a wide range of scenarios some of which may be potentially difficult
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Commitment to high levels of customer care
- Previous local government experience
- Chartered Institute of Housing Qualified
