About the role:
To manage clients & households in temporary accommodation. This involves regular proactive contact with vulnerable clients including visits and meetings. Working with clients to encourage self-help and working with other agencies and accommodation providers to secure support and assistance. Work with clients to recover any charges incurred whilst in temporary accommodation.
About you:
• Excellent people skills particularly communicating with vulnerable households.
• Knowledge of housing services provided by the Council, particularly the
homeless.
• Knowledge of landlord & tenant law.
• Educated to higher education level.
• Being a team player is essential.
• Able to use a computer and packages confidently.
What you will do:
• Manage clients & households in temporary accommodation.
• Work with other members of the Homeless Team and other organisations to help those who need specialist support and assistance to help them live independently.
• Ensure that the appropriate risk assessments are carried out before clients are placed in temporary accommodation.
• Work closely with our accommodation team to make sure that the temporary accommodation is always maintained and equipped to a standard the complies with guidance.
• Contribute proactively to develop our policies and procedures and to improve the quality of the service offered to people who are homeless or who are threatened with homelessness.

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
