About The Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed individuals to work with the Housing Options service to help clients under threat of becoming homeless. The key objective will be to prevent homelessness and to support both individuals and families to secure accommodation.

About the job

- Working with private sector landlords and letting agents to build a network of working relationships.

- To provide support to prevent customers becoming homeless, and help customers secure settled accommodation who are already living in temporary accommodation.

- To find appropriate permanent accommodation for customers, with a focus on securing private rented accommodation.

- To assess customers support needs in a holistic manner and refer to appropriate agencies.

What We Are Looking For From You

The post holders will need to have team working skills, the ability to produce innovative solutions and be forward thinking to help develop the service. The ability to liaise well with landlords and third party organisations to secure private sector accommodation will also be of benefit.

The post holders will be required to provide excellent outcomes for vulnerable clients, and high quality customer service.

Experience of homeless legislation and working with the public will be an advantage. You may be required to work until 19:00 hours to meet the demands of a very busy service.

This post is temporary until 31st March 2025.
