We are strengthening our Strategic Housing Services and are looking for an inspiring Housing Solutions & Homelessness Manager to help lead our housing need and homelessness functions.
This is a pivotal leadership role with direct responsibility for our operational teams, providing, expert guidance, and a strong focus on service improvement.
Whether your background is in homelessness prevention, statutory assessments, allocations, housing options, supported housing, temporary accommodation or another housing delivery area, we welcome experienced managers who are committed to delivering excellent housing outcomes and supporting residents who need us most.
About the Role
Working as part of the wider management team, you will provide professional guidance to Senior Officers, support teams with complex or high-risk cases, and help drive service development and continuous improvement.
Your leadership will ensure our statutory functions are delivered safely, legally, compassionately and consistently, with a strong emphasis on prevention, early intervention and sustainable pathways out of homelessness.
You will work closely with internal and external partners, Registered Providers, support services, and voluntary and community sector organisations to strengthen joint working, improve access to suitable housing, and build effective pathways that meet a broad range of housing needs.

- Leading and supporting teams delivering housing advice, homelessness assessments, allocations and/or temporary accommodation
- Providing operational oversight, guidance and decision-making support to staff
- Championing a strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-centred approach across services
- Overseeing complex or high-risk casework, safeguarding concerns and partnership interventions
- Managing team performance, quality assurance, and data-driven service improvements
- Building effective partnerships with housing providers, voluntary organisations, health and social care
- Supporting service development, change programmes,
- Leading and supporting staff wellbeing, training, development and reflective practice
About You
You are a confident, collaborative manager with experience leading operational teams in homelessness, housing management, allocations, supported housing or a similar environment. You bring:
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- The ability to motivate and guide teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting complex casework and vulnerable residents
- A commitment to quality, performance and continuous improvement

- A passion for prevention, early intervention and delivering accessible housing services
