Pembrokeshire County Council's Housing Management Service is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and motivated Housing Support Assistant to join our dedicated team.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across the Tenancy Management and Sheltered Housing Services. Acting as a first point of contact for customers and stakeholders, you will deliver excellent customer service and provide front-line advice and guidance in accordance with current housing legislation, policy, and procedures.
You will play a key role in supporting the wider Housing Service, with a particular focus on assisting the Sheltered Housing Services within the Tenancy Management Team in delivering high-quality services to tenants and residents. Responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records and databases, collating property-related information, organising documentation, and supporting the day-to-day operational requirements of the team.
Additional duties will include preparing correspondence and reports, processing invoices, monitoring housing-related funding, maintaining data systems, and providing administrative support for meetings and service activities.
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level (A Level or equivalent qualification desirable) and possess strong IT, administrative, and communication skills. You will have experience of working effectively under pressure, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines. The ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team, is essential, together with a flexible, proactive, and methodical approach to work.
This is primarily an office-based role, working across local Tenancy Management locations with periodic attendance at County Hall. The post requires excellent organisational skills, professionalism, discretion, and a compassionate approach when supporting some of our most vulnerable residents.
