"It's about keeping things running smoothly - making sure our tenants feel safe, supported and proud of where they live."

That's how one of our Housing colleagues describes their role. If you're organised, approachable and confident working independently, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

A home, not just a property

Kempston House is a Supported Living service providing safe, secure accommodation for disabled adults. More than just a building, it's a place people call home.

As Housing Support Coordinator, you'll ensure the property is well maintained, compliant and welcoming - working closely with tenants, care providers and internal teams to create a positive living environment.

From managing tenancy documentation and supporting rent processes, to coordinating maintenance and ensuring communal areas meet compliance standards, your role will be central to keeping everything running effectively.

Working with Leonard Cheshire, you'll be part of a national organisation committed to supporting disabled people to live as independently as possible.

Your working hours

This role offers flexibility to meet the needs of the service and tenants.

You'll primarily work weekdays, with occasional flexibility required to facilitate contractor access or urgent property matters (including rare out-of-hours access where necessary).

Working Monday - Friday, 3 hours per day.

You'll work independently on site, with remote support and supervision from your Operations Manager.

Why you'll love working here

As well as making a genuine difference to tenants' lives, we offer a supportive working environment and a strong benefits package:

  • 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata if part-time), increasing with service
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • Competitive life assurance cover
  • Health cash plan - affordable healthcare support
  • Free DBS check
  • Employee Assistance Programme - confidential wellbeing support
  • Access to a Blue Light Card - discounts at high street retailers
  • Stream - access up to 40% of your pay before payday
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with tenants and help maintain a safe, secure place they're proud to call home.

What helps you shine here

  • Experience in housing management, property coordination or a customer service environment
  • Strong planning, organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Confidence working independently with remote line management
  • Ability to manage tenancy matters professionally, including arrears or breaches
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with tenants, contractors and colleagues
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Experience supporting people with physical disabilities (desirable)
