Housing Support Officer (Full Time - 37 hours)

This role sites within the Housing Strategy and Enabling Team. The team have responsibility for assessing housing need in Newport and for leading work programmes and initiatives to increase the provision of affordable housing within the city.
We are seeking enthusiastic and capable candidates, passionate about making a difference for our communities. We are looking for someone with the right skills, to provide a range of administrative functions, including minute taking and arranging meetings, to support the team, project delivery and the wider service. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with good IT and digital skills.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, capable of working effectively as both part of a team and independently, using their own initiative. Attention to detail is key, along with excellent IT and communication skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
Job purpose
- Under the supervision of the Housing Strategy & Enabling Manager to assist in dealing with appropriate aspects of strategic housing functions and other relevant housing delivery administrative and technical support matters.
