The Package
We are seeking a positive, hardworking Housing Support Officer to provide delivery of a person-centred, trauma informed support service in Colwyn Bay. You will support service users to work towards outcomes set out in support plans, whilst contributing to the safe running of the scheme. This will involve:

The Package
- Permanent contract
- 21 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday)
- Salary of £25,777 per annum (£15,466 pro rata)
- Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

We are seeking a positive, hardworking Housing Support Officer to provide delivery of a person-centred, trauma informed support service in Colwyn Bay. You will support service users to work towards outcomes set out in support plans, whilst contributing to the safe running of the scheme. This will involve:
- Managing referrals to the scheme, by maintaining electronic records on each client, ensuring adherence to the occupancy agreement in line with policies and procedures
- Completion of move in and pre tenancy paperwork with all new residents, whilst providing a comprehensive induction to the property
- Providing support to clients moving on from the scheme
- Arranging and attending meetings with voluntary and statutory agencies, to maintain provision of a person-centred service to residents, supporting their development
- Effective communication with internal and external contacts regarding the maintenance and H&S of the property, to include providing guidance to the client on how to maintain good standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the property
- Provision of engagement and involvement activities to promote social inclusion amongst service users
- Understanding of safeguarding principles for children and vulnerable adults
- Understanding of benefits and claim processes
- Awareness of mental health issues/support needs connected to drug and alcohol misuse/homelessness
- Experience of working in a client centred environment
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to support an on-call service as part of a rota within the area
