The Package
Working at different Hostels, you'll support people with their housing needs and life skills in a person-centred, trauma informed way and contribute to the safe running of the hostel. This will involve:

The Package
- Temporary contract for 12-months
- 14 hours per week
- Variable salary
- Minimum of 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)

Working at different Hostels, you'll support people with their housing needs and life skills in a person-centred, trauma informed way and contribute to the safe running of the hostel. This will involve:
- Supporting service users with mental health and wellbeing, by encouraging healthy activities and lifestyles, and signposting to services
- Assisting with claims for housing and associated benefits to support residents' financial stability
- Organising and managing a range of engaging activities to promote social inclusion
- Playing a hands-on role in responding to incidents, completing room checks and ensuring properties are maintained
- Maintaining accurate service user records and files
- Performing regular security and fire safety checks
- In the absence of the Housing Support Officer (Pendinas), during out of hours, deputising the support of care leavers in 277 projects•
- Ability to hold everyday conversations in Welsh
- Experience working in a client centred environment such as housing, care or similar (e.g., supporting individuals in reporting maintenance issues, making healthcare appointments, pursuing hobbies, securing training and employment, etc.)
- Knowledge of the support needs of vulnerable people
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Hard working, with a positive 'can do attitude'
- At least have basic IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
