Main duties of the job
The Housing Support Grant (HSG) is a project supporting clients with drug and alcohol issues who are also at risk of losing their tenancy. To be eligible, clients need to be in temporary, supported, emergency or private rented accommodation.You will be a resilient and committed individual who understands the problems faced by people who find themselves homeless or in insecure accommodation.We work alongside the community teams and with external agencies to support our clients in preventing homelessness. The focus is on supporting the client in any way that helps them remain accommodated.

Successful track record of working with substance misuse clients. Knowledge and understanding of homelessness, assessment, care planning and key working. Knowledge and understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for service users. Resilient and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively as a team player. Full UK Driving Licence and own transport (the role will involve travelling to a variety of centres across Cornwall). Ability to work flexible and unsocial hours as required You will also be required to work occasional Saturdays.
