In this role, you will:
- Ensure a key focus on early intervention supporting clients to prevent rent arrears
- Maximise income through effective and timely monitoring of rent accounts
- Support residents with claiming Housing Benefits and act to ensure claims are progressed.
- Work to support households in temporary accommodation to move to settled accommodation by ensuring rent accounts are up to date and household incomes are maximised
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Knowledge and experience of the principals and processes of managing rent accounts
- Good knowledge of Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits available to homeless households.
- An understanding of the duties owed to homeless households by local councils
- Excellent IT skills and experience of managing process and procedures involving workflow systems and databases.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
- Competitive salary £42,264 - £44,235 plus allowances (if applicable).
