Independent Living Officer

We're seeking a professional, enthusiastic, hard-working, Independent Living Officer with a 'can-do' attitude who is passionate about supporting tenants sustain their tenancies, to work across our Retirement Living Schemes.

These positions are based within our Housing Management Service and demand excellent people skills, as you will be supporting tenants with a wide range of vulnerabilities. The role involves working regularly onsite, engaging directly with residents, and collaborating closely with colleagues across Homes & Neighbourhoods, the wider council, and other stakeholders. In addition, you will be responsible for carrying out regulatory compliance checks.

You must possess a high level of computer literacy in order to utilise and record in our management information system. You must be organised and have the ability to manage and prioritise workloads with competing demands.

About the roles

This role will report to a Housing Manager within our Older People's Support Team within Housing Management. These teams deliver services designed to meet the support needs of residents in ways that promote independence, enhance quality of life, and help sustain tenancies.

Depending on business needs, Independent Living Officers may be required to work within or provide cover for other relevant roles/teams across Housing Management, fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in the ILO job description.
