About the role:
As Independent Reviewing Officer you have responsibility for monitoring and reviewing the Care Plan. You will chair Child Protection Conferences and Child Looked After reviews. You will promote participation of children and families and advocate on behalf of children and families ensuring the voice of the child is heard. You will be part of the Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Team.
About you:
A minimum of five years experience of working in Children's Services
Ability and experience of chairing meetings IT competent Ability to develop relationships with children and young people
Ability to develop effective working relationships with collegues and partner agencies
Ability to advocate for children and families and to promote the voice of the child.
Knowledge of relevant legislation policies and procedures.
Ability to drive
What you will do:
Chairing Child Protection and Child Looked After Reviews Monitoring and Reviewing the child's plan to prevent drift and delay Monitor the Local Authority role of Corporate Parent Promote the child's participation in reviews Promote the voice of the child.
