Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (35 hours per week)

Introduction to the role:
The role of the L&D advisor is critical to the success of the team and is responsible for ensuring that the team can continue deliver its ambitious programme of learning to colleagues across the firm
This role requires candidates to have a good understanding of the learning and development cycle, with significant involvement in all aspects.
Introduction to the team:
The team is responsible for delivering a wide range of behavioural, career development, leadership and IT based learning across our fee earning and central services business groups, both nationally and internationally.
We act as a group of specialist advisors and guides to individuals and teams across the firm on matters relating to personal and professional development.
User experience is very important to us as a team, and we aim to provide a consistently outstanding service to our colleagues.
The L&D Team form part of the wider HR&D Team, who support the Firm with a wide number of specialisms including HR Operations, Recruitment, Equality & Diversity and Early Careers The role will require the successful candidate work closely with the wider HR team to successfully deliver interlinked projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities:
- Support new hires through the onboarding process by ensuring that relevant learning is allocated and booked, progress is monitored, reports are produced and action taken based on data.
- Take ownership of the Maintenance and management of content on internal intranet sites that relate to L&D, working with the L&D team to agree actions taken and making proactive suggestions for improvements.
- Act as an initial point of contact for queries and enquiries received into the L&D team, resolving where possible at first point of contact.
- Act as a point of contact for participants before, during and after learning events/programmes. Including following up on non-attendance at events.
- Develop, design and manage annual training plans in collaboration with our legal and central services teams across the firm, to ensure efficient delivery of learning opportunities to colleagues.
- Assist with accurate learning needs assessment, including sourcing appropriate solutions.
- Proactively collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues across the full HR&D team to ensure cross team projects and priorities are supported, co-ordinated and delivered effectively.
- Produce and use data to inform actions that support the full L&D cycle from planning through to evaluation in relation to learning programmes, leadership development and online learning. Using trends analysis to inform decision making.
- Monitor budgets month to month with PSL's and training reps, processing invoices and supporting with bookings where required.
- Assist in planning and tracking central L&D spend.
- Proactive use of HR people systems to support the L&D function.
- Effective use of excel to produce meaningful summary reports efficiently and accurately.
- Work with all aspect of learning management systems including advanced system features and have a deep understanding of the relationship between actions taken in the system and impacts on end users.

- Able to communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders inside and outside of the L&D team to build credibility and trust.
- Able to pro-actively prioritise work effectively and logically to ensure efficiency.
- Able to work effectively at pace under pressure and deal with changing priorities and demands, making proactive decisions about priority or focus areas.
- Ability to travel to different office locations frequently
- Resourceful and able to solve problems, with demonstrable attention to accuracy and detail.
- Effective decision-making skills in relation to learning co-ordination and budget management.
- Willing to ask questions to clarify understanding for self and others.
- Ambitious to develop towards delivering some standard elements of the L&D offer.
