We are looking for a motivated and proactive Learning & Development Officer to join our team and help us deliver high-quality learning experiences across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the L&D team, you will be the first point of contact for staff and stakeholders, providing friendly, professional support across our learning and development services. You will play an important role in coordinating training, onboarding, induction, study leave and the efficient use of our learning management system (LMS) Insight.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, a passion for people development, and an interest in digital learning systems. You will work closely with the L&D Advisors to ensure that high-quality learning opportunities are delivered seamlessly and efficiently.

- Coordination of course bookings and maintain learning records on our LMS (Insight)
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and act as a system 'super user'
- Provide administrative support for virtual and in-person training events including logistics, materials and equipment
- Produce and distribute certificates and maintain accurate training records
- Support delivery of trust-wide induction programmes for all new starters
- Schedule induction dates, coordinate speakers and ensure all logistics are in place
- Act as the main point of contact during induction sessions
- Monitor attendance and follow-up non-attendees
- Help review and develop induction content
- Administer study leave applications, expenses and approval processes
- Support the Study Leave Committee with meetings, agendas and minutes
- Maintain appraisal and compliance records
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the L&D team
- Respond to queries via phone, email and the L&D helpdesk
- Provide 'front of house' support during training events
- Produce reports, and support internal communications relating to learning activities
