Job description
We are seeking enthusiastic, customer focused individuals to join our Leasehold Management team and be part of the further development of the Council's Leasehold, Right to Buy, Shared Ownership and other asset functions.

With over 600 leasehold properties and an ever increasing portfolio of shared ownership properties, this is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will be committed to personal and professional development and this role is an opportunity to further develop your skills in providing a key supporting role within a busy housing management environment.

Using your knowledge and skills, you will contirbute to developing and shaping service delivery and would suit someone with experience in these areas who enjoys challenges of a complex yet rewarding subject matter.

The Main Responsibilities of this role are;

  • To be the first point of contact for leaseholders and to investigate and respond to complex queries regarding annual service charges and major works.
  • To maximise the Council's income through effective monitoring and management of leasehold service charge accounts.
  • To investigate and respond to leaseholders' queries regarding service charges and their service charge accounts.
  • Management of shared ownership properties and associated lease and service charge issues.
  • To administer the Right to Buy function.
Allocation of garage tenancies and management of rent accounts.

This role is suitable as a job sharing opportunity.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express themselves spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.

The duties of this post require the postholder to undertake a basic Criminal Record check (unspent convictions only) via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
