We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Lettings Officer to join our Housing & Landlord Services team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the timely and effective letting of council homes, helping to make best use of our housing stock and supporting those in priority need through Bristol's Choice-Based Lettings system.

What you'll be doing:
  • Managing the end-to-end lettings process, from tenancy termination to new sign-ups.
  • Preparing accurate property adverts
  • Validating tenant eligibility
  • Collaborating with Housing Officers and other teams to ensure smooth tenancy transitions.
  • Arranging pre-tenancy assessments and conducting viewings, and sign-ups.,
  • Ensuring correct rent and service charges are applied to new tenancies.
What we're looking for:
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Understanding of equalities and diversity, and a commitment to Bristol City Council's core values.
A full driving licence or the ability to travel across the city is required.
